Interior Design / Interior Designer of the Year

Winner

Allure

Burdifilek, Emblem
Judges Notes:
Burdi Filek Submission - Although paired back, we all felt that the design was timeless & would appeal to a much broader demographic. The spaces would still read well a few years down the line when the project is built—it takes great skill to be able to forecast future relevance. The palette was calming (much like a spa), shielding the noise/hustle-bustle from the outside world of the busy city. There were real hero moments in their sculptural focal points (e.g., the lobby), and we did see a continuity of details reflected in the ceilings and consistency with finishes throughout the amenities. There is beauty in simplicity, and knowing Burdi's attention to detail, they WILL execute these details well based on their roster of amazing work.
